WHAT IS THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF A SAUNA?

THE SIZE OF THE SAUNA CABIN, A DETERMINING FACTOR

The first factor to consider when evaluating the energy consumption of a Sauna is the size of the Sauna cabin : this consumption can vary from 2 to 20 KW for the largest cabins. As a general rule, there are approximately 1.3 KW per m3 heated for a standard Sauna cabin. For example, a 2m x 2m cabin requires a 6KW stove.

However, it is important to keep in mind that a Sauna cabin with large glass surfaces will require greater power.

THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF THE STOVE

If the size of the Sauna cabin can give you an initial estimate of the energy consumption to be expected for your Sauna, the choice of the electric stove for your sauna will also be decisive. A stove that is poorly adapted to the Sauna cabin or that is of poor quality will lead to poorer quality heating, and will risk considerably increasing your electricity bill.
